Shot entirely on location in Iceland, this feature film was a great challenge and highly rewarding experience. Encountering extreme and unpredictable weather daily and shot in many remote locations, we hiked glaciers and streams, shot behind waterfalls, and recorded whispers on the windiest beaches I've ever encountered. I was fortunate to be the Production Sound Mixer on the film and also very involved in the post-production mixing, which we completed at the venerable Skywalker Sound.
I'm proud to have been the Sound Recordist and Post Production Sound Supervisor for this award winning short film that explores a future where growing old is optional for some.
This is one of my favorite shoots I've ever been a part of. Inspired by the pioneering group Blogotheque this shoot involved live music recording with hidden mics, shot on steadicam at SXSW. I boomed, recorded, and mixed this piece and I think it turned out great.
Shot in the popular Mission Chinese restaurant in San Francisco, this highly stylized action short was a blast to work on as the location Sound Recordist.
Shot in Chicago, this video series for E&J Brandy combined candid interviews of musical stars from three generations with intimate live musical performances. Recording music in a live and verite setting like this is one of my favorite things to do.
I was the boom operator for this short film following a young man's experience coming of age in the violent shadow of his brother.
Comedy shoots are a blast. I was Sound Recordist for a series of commercials for this company.
